Covering Camden, Swiss Cottage, St. John’s Wood, Golders Green, Hampstead and the adjoining areas and boroughs within London, The Heath caters for all of your hypnotherapy needs.
Your subconscious mind runs the vast majority of your behaviour. By working directly with the subconscious mind, hypnosis for clinical purposes can be an extremely fast and powerful way to shortcut obstacles and get to the root of the problem and resolve it.
During hypnosis you will find out for yourself that:
Hypnotherapy has many applications in therapeutic settings and effects can be quick, global and comprehensive. Among them are:
Prior to the session, I will guide you through a series of responsiveness or feedback tests. They are not ‘tests’ in the sense that there is no pass or fail, nothing to get right or wrong, instead they act as just a guide as to which approach would work best with your particular personality. The tests also act as ‘covincers’ for your conscious mind, so you know you can ‘do’ hypnosis and be hypnotised. Following on from the feedback tests, we proceed to hypnosis proper. This is a cooperative act between me (the hypnotist) and your subconscious mind in order to pursue an outcome you have chosen in advance.
Not everyone is a good hypnotee. Some people are rapid hypnotees, some are more progressive, others may require more than one session before being ready to be hypnotised, and a small minority seem unwilling or unable to be hypnotised for one or more reasons. In such cases, I will use alternative treatments to pursue your goals and outcomes. Please note that in my experience many people have assumed that they would be bad at hypnosis and ended up being sucessfully hypnotised, much to their surprise. Even prior unsuccessful experiences with other hypnotherapists is no barrier to real hypnosis in the future. Unfortunately many hypnotherapy training organisations accrediting hypnotherapists have a very poor scientific understanding of hypnosis and do not teach what I would consider ’real’ hypnosis. Instead they offer a form of straightforward relaxation hoping that it will lead to hypnosis. While this can seem relaxing and akin to meditation, it is not hypnosis. It is easier to say what hypnosis is not rather than what it is. It can feel relaxing but relaxation is not hypnosis. Most of my clients who come out of hypnosis report feeling a distinctly different experience than they have ever felt before.
